These are not glass, but do have a glass appearance and are 3D. They look like a white ball encapsulated by a light green glass that you can see the white ball through, so there is a glowing appearance to these. From the eighties I am guessing considering the box I found them in.
They measure about 3"" long and the ball has a diameter of 1/2"". On a metric scale that would be 76mm long and the ball has a 13mm diameter.
